Knutsford’s main road has been brightened up thanks to the efforts of volunteers at Knutsford in Bloom.
The In Bloom group purchased two sleek new planters for outside Arthur Lee on Toft Road to replace tired old concrete planters.
Barry Tilby, Chair of Knutsford in Bloom said: “I think the new planters now installed outside Arthur Lee look excellent and certainly help brighten up the Town. Thanks must go to several of the volunteers who helped paint and fill the planters with soil and compost as well as helping choose the plants and plan the planting.”
Knutsford in Bloom, which is funded by Knutsford Town Council, maintains a number of the planters and flower beds in the town centre, including the flowerbeds outside St John’s Church and the planters outside the Curzon cinema.
“All the Knutsford in Bloom volunteers, supported by Knutsford Town Council, are working hard in preparation for the North West in Bloom judging on August 4th and in this very difficult time they have done a tremendous job. We are always looking for extra help to look after the planters around Town and to keep Knutsford such an attractive place to live, work, and visit. So if you can spare some time please do not hesitate to contact me” Barry added.
